Springbank

—01

The last distillery standing in Campbeltown

Springbank is singular among Scottish distilleries. It is one of only a handful that carries out every stage of production on a single site — from malting the barley on traditional floor maltings, through mashing and fermentation, to distillation, maturation, and bottling. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is rushed.

Located on the narrow Kintyre peninsula, Campbeltown was once the whisky capital of the world, home to more than thirty distilleries. Today, Springbank endures as a monument to that heritage — family-owned across five generations, unyielding in its commitment to tradition, and yet quietly progressive in its willingness to experiment with cask types and peating levels.

The result is a whisky of remarkable depth and character. Each expression carries the maritime influence of its coastal home — brine, seaweed, and damp stone — layered beneath the complex interplay of malt and oak that only time and patience can produce.
